About
𝒫𝑒𝓇 𝒯𝓊𝓉𝓉𝒾 is built on a belief that good culture is meant to be shared — and that regional communities deserve access to the same depth, quality, and quirkiness usually reserved for big cities.
Born and raised in Shepparton, Carley’s love of music and culture is shaped by her proud Sicilian roots and a lifelong instinct for bringing people together. From sharing favourite records to coordinating her family’s annual passata day, inclusion is central to everything she does. Alongside a busy marketing career, Carley has built an impressive DJ résumé, holding residencies at some of Melbourne’s most-loved venues. Her vision for a vibrant local music culture gives 𝒫𝑒𝓇 𝒯𝓊𝓉𝓉𝒾 its purpose — and its name.
Originally from Adelaide, Benny grew up surrounded by records and audio gear, cutting his teeth making mixtapes for his B-boy crew before moving into DJing and record releasing. After studying music production and relocating to Melbourne, he went on to launch labels, produce for artists, run a professional recording studio, and manage one of the city’s most respected record stores. A DJ and record collector first and foremost, his career has created deep international connections with labels, distributors, and collectors alike.
Together, Carley and Benny bring decades of digging, curating, and community-building into 𝒫𝑒𝓇 𝒯𝓊𝓉𝓉𝒾. Thanks to their combined networks — spanning international artists, suppliers, and underground scenes — we have access to unique, hard-to-find stock that rarely makes it to our neck of the woods. Our aim is simple: to bring forgotten and important music into the light, and to add something alternative and meaningful to Shepparton’s cultural life.
